Thanks to our customer Craig for suggesting HTTrack, an open source tool for copying websites to a local directory and useful for copying online help.

It allows you to download a World Wide Web site from the Internet to a local directory, building recursively all directories, getting HTML, images, and other files from the server to your computer. HTTrack arranges the original site's relative link-structure. Simply open a page of the "mirrored" website in your browser, and you can browse the site from link to link, as if you were viewing it online. HTTrack can also update an existing mirrored site, and resume interrupted downloads. HTTrack is fully configurable, and has an integrated help system.

Apparently it is possible to install also on the Mac...

How to Install HTTrack (Website Copier) on macOS

  1. Press Command + Space and type Terminal, then press enter/return key.
  2. Run in the Terminal app: ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)" < /dev/null 2> /dev/null then press enter/return key. Wait for the command to finish.
  3. Run: brew install httrack

You can now use HTTrack by typing httrack in your terminal window and hitting enter/return.

We do not offer any support for HTTrack. This is for informational purposes only.
