Hello,
I'm trying to fix an issue with Shade crashing when I open a particular file. One of the remedies suggested is uninstalling and installing the software, but I can't figure out how to do it on a mac. I opened the downloaded Shade program, then dragged the Shade icon to my App folder. A message pops up asking if I want to replace the current file (answered yes), then takes a few seconds to carry out. None of the usual fanfare of installing, so I'm not sure if it actually performs a new install.

Any help is appreciated!

Hi,

sorry for the late reply. On OSX you usually drag and drop from the installer, like you did. To delete the files you simple drag the app to the trashcan.

Normally, at least i have never encountered this over many years, Shade should not crash when loading a Shade file or an imported file.

Can you tell us what kind of file you like to load?

Regards
Stefan
