Silkypix Developer Studio Pro 7 US started crashing immediately upon start today. iMac running OS 10.11.5. Anyone else seeing this? Restarting the computer didn't help.

So after installing version 7.0.6 and having it crash, I uninstalled it using CleanMyMac. This time I saw a prefs file in the list of files that CleanMyMac found and removed. Then I installed it again from the download and opened it. It crashed, but I choose "reopen," and it reopened successfully and did not crash. I was able to correct and process a RAW file and export it. This is encouraging.

I tried deleting and reinstalling. I tried deleting the /Library/Caches directory. Has anyone seen this error on a Mac in the past?

Also removing the app and installing an earlier version crashes immediately upon startup. There must be some common steps to fixing this on the Mac.

(sorry, missed the reply button) Not between the last time I ran Silkypix and the start of the crashing. I may have installed Techsmith SnagIt so I dragged it to the trash. Ran CleanMyMac 3 and cleared out the Local cached files. It showed some failed Silkpix uninstalls and attempted to clean them up. Silkypix still immediately crashes upon startup.

We are waiting to hear back from engineering to see if they've encountered this. You should also download the most recent update, which was just released.

Yes, I got version 7.0.6. I can try completely removing everything and reinstalling 7.0.6 in case something gets left behind when you uninistall this. The latest version (like the earlier one) exits immediately upon running the program.

My other iMac runs Silkypix just fine and is at the same version of OSX. I even installed Techsmith Snagit in case that program had a conflict. Odd. I want to run Silkypix on my iMac i7 quadcore, which has more memory and CPU power over the older system.
