Shade gives you complete control over native Shade materials and surfaces.
Shade Master Surfaces let you create, use, and repurpose your surface designs; create a master surface, then create any number of child surfaces that inherit attributes from the master surface. Each surface can support multiple layers of materials, and each material can incorporate any number of texture maps. Incorporate Shade surfaces inside your project or store them externally to keep your project files smaller.
Shade lets you build your surfaces using multiple, layered materials - image maps, movies, parametrized materials (adjustable by slider or numerical values). Apply material effects such as Fresnel Reflection and Anisotropic Reflection Rendering. Apply parametrized control over imported images - including common image formats, High Dynamic Range Images and more. Shade ships with a huge catalog of materials, including new materials that take advantage of subsurface scattering as well as volumetric materials.
